Dr. Leff is a geriatrician and Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is an internationally recognized leader and researcher in the development, evaluation, and dissemination of novel models of health service delivery for older adults, including the Hospital at Home. In addition, his research interests extend to issues related to quality of care and quality improvement, care of people with multiple chronic conditions, guideline development, and risk prediction. He has served on multiple Technical Expert Panels for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the National Quality Forum, and the NCQA. Dr. Leff cares for patients in the acute, ambulatory, and home settings. He is a member and Chair-elect of the Council of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Past-President of the American Academy of Home Care Medicine and past-member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Physicians.
