Donna R. Cryer, JD, launched the Global Liver Institute in January 2014 to be the catalyst and convening platform for innovation in liver diseases, channeling her personal experience as an IBD and liver transplant patient into professional advocacy. Donna also serves as president and managing partner of HydePark Health, providing strategic counsel to top biopharmaceutical companies, patient advocacy organizations, and emerging technology firms on patient engagement in HIT, drug discovery, and clinical decisionmaking. Her DCpatient blog and @DCpatient Twitter feed are ranked as top resources for insights into the epatient perspective.
Donna is a patient representative to FDA, a PCORI merit reviewer and a member of Stakeholder Advisory Group to the NIH Learning Health System Research Collaboratory. Additionally, Donna is on the Board of the Personalized Medicine Coalition and a member of the Patient and Consumer Advisory Council for the Center for Medical Technology Policy.
Donna received an undergraduate degree from Harvard/Radcliffe Colleges and received a Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center.
