Dr Salazar is currently Sr Vice President, Translational Medicine and Think Team, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development and Commercialization, Princeton NJ. In this role he leads a group of 45 scientists with responsibility for toxicology, metabolism, pharmacology, pharmaceutical and device technology, genomics and predictive analytics. He leads the development of the medical information device portfolio of products and contributes to shaping the future of research and development of Otsuka Pharmaceutical Company. Dr Salazar has spent the last 22 years in the pharmaceutical industry with Marion Laboratories in Kansas City, MO, Bristol Myers Squibb Co, Princeton NJ and most recently at Daiichi Sankyo Pharma Development in Edison NJ. Dr Salazar completed his undergraduate education at Princeton University where he majored in Biology and received his doctoral degree at the Department of Pharmaceutics, State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr Salazar is a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology, the coauthor of over 75 articles in peer reviewed journals and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology.
