Jeff McCloud is a Digital Product Designer at Ximedica, a medtech consultancy that designs innovative medical devices. His current work focuses on connected health devices for physicians and consumers, including mobile apps, zero UI, and complex surgical equipment. He is responsible for the overall user interface design, with a focus on interactions, user experience, and visual design. He has applied this vision to devices ranging from tangible products such as an arthritis simulation glove and driving assistant for individuals recovering from traumatic brain injury, to open-source software for electronic medical records, a Twitter-based prescription drug monitoring system, and open-source platforms for clinical quality measures in hospitals. Jeff earned a Masters of Science in Industrial Design from Georgia Institute of Technology and a graduate certification of management of technology. His past work experience includes the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Usability Lab, the Innovation Center at the MITRE Corporation, and other design consultancy experience. He has also partnered with the MIT Innovations in International Health Lab to design low-cost medical devices for the developing world.
