Lygeia Ricciardi has been at the vanguard of the patient engagement movement for over a decade, as an advocate, foundation director, consultant, and policy maker. In the US federal government Lygeia established and led pro-consumer programs and policy development at ONC (Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology). She was named one of the Most Influential Women in Health Information Technology in 2019 by HIMSS (the Health Information Management Systems Society).
As Chief Transformation Officer at Carium, Lygeia provides leadership on go-to-market and product strategy, and heads the marketing team. She holds a BA from Wellesley College and a Masters from Harvard. She is a frequent public speaker and blogger and has been featured by the Wall Street Journal, C-SPAN, and Consumer Reports.
