Rachel Rothman is the Chief Technologist and Engineering Director for the Good Housekeeping Institute. There, she oversees consumer product testing methodology, implementation, and reporting for all labs at the Institute, with product tests ranging from textiles and kitchen gadgets to health and beauty related items. She also manages the Good Housekeeping Seal and Green Good Housekeeping Seal product clearance and is responsible for all consumer tech, home improvement, auto and toy coverage for brand coverage.

She has appeared as an expert on the Today Show, Good Morning America, Fox Business, and MSNBC. She has also been a featured speaker at global conferences like CES, the Women in Innovation Forum, the World Science Festival, the Women in STEM Summit, and the FemTech Innovation Summit.

Rachel has a BSE in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. As a female engineer, it is Rachel’s goal to create an encouraging, inspiring ecosystem for men and women to excel.
