Tom Ferraro is the Vice President of Global Health and DC Plans Health and Welfare Benefits.   In this role, Tom is responsible for vendor management, the financial sustainability and strategic direction of the active and retiree Corporate Sponsored Benefits programs.  Since 2010, Tom’s team has proposed and implements significant U.S. Health & Welfare benefits changes. These changes have preserved MetLife’s strategic agility, continued to deliver meaningful benefits to plan participants in a cost efficient manner, produced positive results in terms of health management and has significantly reduced company post-employment benefit liability.  One of his current focuses is launching a Global Wellbeing program for the 50 countries where MetLife operates.
 
Prior to joining Global Compensation & Benefits, Tom held several positions in Group National Accounts.  While in National Accounts, Tom’s team was responsible for the day-to-day administration as well as the accounting and pricing of customers with over 25,000 lives.  During his tenure his customer base grew significantly, experienced high customer satisfaction results and achieved strong earnings.
